About the event
Tabata Gerk is a psychotherapist, medicine woman and master in psychology who provides therapeutic services to folks locally and around the world. In her work she has been called to create bridges between ancestral knowledge and contemporary knowledge about the human psyche.
Following our indepth Q&A in January Tabata will be leading a discussion on the sacred pipe. During this 2hr event Tabata will be uncovering the mythology that surrounds the use of the sacred pipe or "peace pipe" in indigenous cultures and how the herbs used differ from what we commonly see today.
Tabata will also discuss the benefits of including plant medicine in our regular wellness routines. Topics discussed will encourage overall physical, mental, and spiritual vitality by centering the mindful consumption of locally available flowers, herbs, and additional plant life. We will conclude with a sacred pipe initiation, pipes can be purchased from Bella Pipes and a custom blend from MoreFya will be crafted just for this event!
